We offer a survey and consultation service and can measure up or work from floor plans to provide accurate space planning.
Using Revit software, we produce 3D renders to help you visualise the space, bringing the project to life. We support you by creating mood boards and providing samples to assist with your selection of fittings, materials, furniture styles and finishes.

Space
Our experienced Furniture Consultants assess the space and measure up or work from detailed floor plans. The Department for Education’s ‘Building Bulletin 103 (BB103)’ advises for Primary classrooms a minimum of 55 m² and for Secondary classrooms a minimum of 60 m² is required for a class of 30 pupils. This is considered the minimum spatial requirements needed to ensure classrooms are suitable for teaching and learning, enabling space for furniture, movement, and safe evacuation.
Design
Our in-house design team have decades of experience working on education projects and ensure designs comply with BB103 guidelines which state non-specialist teaching classrooms should accommodate tables and chairs for students that conform to ergonomic standards (BS EN 1729) and correct desk and chair heights based on student age. Classrooms as a minimum requirement should also contain a teacher’s desk and chair, storage units, an interactive whiteboard or teacher wall, circulation space and the layout should ensure accessibility for pupils with disabilities and compliance with Building Regulations Part M (accessibility and use of buildings). Our designers focus on the most crucial aspect of school classroom design, which is creating a flexible, inclusive space that supports effective teaching and learning, whilst meeting the physical and developmental needs of all students.
