On Friday 28th March 2025, Morleys organised a Golf Tournament at The Oxfordshire Hotel golf course in Thame, bringing together suppliers, customers, and golf enthusiasts for a fantastic day of sport and fundraising. The tournament, aimed at raising money for the charity Shine, was a big success and filled with sunshine, good spirits, and sportsmanship throughout.
Guests played 18 holes on the beautiful championship course, enjoying a day of friendly competition, lunch, refreshments, and prizes. The event was not only a celebration of golf but also of community and charity, as everyone came together to support a cause that is close to the heart of Morleys Managing Director, Adam Smith.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who participated in making the event a success! The day’s excitement finished with a well-deserved round of applause for the overall tournament winner, Andy Standen, Senior Sales Manager at FG Library & Learning. Congratulations Andy on your outstanding performance!
All proceeds from the event have been donated to Shine, a charity that provides invaluable support to individuals living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as their families, carers, and professional care staff. Shine is dedicated to helping those affected by these conditions, providing specialist care from before birth and continuing throughout their lives. Their work ensures that those impacted can lead fulfilling lives despite the challenges they face.
The cause is especially significant for Adam Smith, whose niece is affected by Hydrocephalus. Adam’s passion for supporting Shine doesn’t stop here. In April, he will be swapping his golf clubs for running shoes as he prepares to take part in the London Marathon, continuing his fundraising efforts for this incredible charity.
