Graven Hill Primary School

Servicing a community of over 400 new build homes, the Graven Hill development is a flagship within our home town, Bicester. The school will have spaces for over 400 children aged 4-11 and opened in September 2023. Morleys were delighted to have been invited to supply and install the FF&E for this project which allowed us to support our local community here in Bicester.
PROJECT SCOPE
This new build school is part of the Warriner Multi Academy Trust, and has a total
of 12 classrooms across it’s 13,000sqm as well as specialist areas for art, design and technology, outdoor pitches and games areas. The building was funded by Oxfordshire Council and created by our friends Kier Construction and was specifically designed to be Net Zero Carbon with the use of solar panels to serve the community.
How we delivered
Our clients at the school were very involved in the decisions around the school’s identity and sense of uniqueness so worked very closely with our designers and project teams to ensure their vision was realised.
While keeping a primary school focus with colour choices and accessibility, the rooms were created with forward thinking lens to ensure the school lasted well into the next generations to come through this new community hub.
Having a close working relationship with the main contractor Kier allowed Morleys to be on site alongside the construction teams and work as one team to adhere to strict schedules and timelines.
