Founded in 1840, the College serves the growing needs of the city of Liverpool. In 2013 it transitioned to Academy status and became an all-through state academy for pupils aged 4 to 19 years old. It is now one of the most over-subscribed schools in the North of England, serving the local and wider community and boasting an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted inspection report.

The College provides high quality education to its pupils, and remaining true to their school motto, “not only the intellect, but also the character”, they advocate a programme of opportunities through their innovative partnership with the University of Liverpool, to support the development of character and learning and pursuit of high standards in every area of school life.

We support the College with their commitment to providing excellent learning environments for their pupils through the provision of our high quality and Morleys exclusive range of Alpha® furniture. The unique design of the cantilever frame ensures ultimate strength and durability, and the ergonomic waterfall seat provides support and comfort, helping students to remain focussed and improve concentration.

The College has consistently rolled out Alpha® furniture across their estate for many years, and we are pleased to have recently completed the install for 8 classrooms and a meeting room.

In total 128 student tables, 256 student chairs, 8 teacher desks, 16 meeting chairs, 8 task chairs, 4 circular meeting tables and 8 tambour units were delivered and installed. The student furniture was delivered in component form and assembled on site to prevent damage to the furniture in transit, and all items were carefully offloaded from 6ft pallets stacked within an articulated lorry by the projects and install team.
