Luton Sixth Form College is the oldest and one of the largest sixth form colleges in the country, situated in Bedfordshire. It has an exceptional track record of achieving Ofsted good or outstanding ratings over the past 20 years, supporting students aged 16-18 years old with their next steps to access university, apprenticeships or employment. We worked closely with the Head of Facilities to provide design layouts and furniture specifications to refurbish the STEM faculty office area, classrooms and administration office spaces to create a fresh and modern look. 

To maximise both space and productivity, we collaborated closely with the college to gain a clear understanding of how the office areas were used by teaching staff. This insight allowed us to design a layout that genuinely supported their day-to-day needs. Connex modular desking systems were selected for their flexibility, modern design and cost-effective nature, complemented by contemporary storage solutions to create organised, highly functional workspaces. 

Classroom furniture was carefully chosen to provide ergonomic support while maintaining a more mature, contemporary aesthetic, creating an environment that helps students focus and supports their transition into adulthood. 

Despite encountering unforeseen manufacturing challenges with the desking, we worked proactively with the client to identify an immediate solution, ensuring there was no disruption to the project timeline. All furniture was delivered and installed on schedule and within budget. In addition, we coordinated closely with on-site teams to manage installation alongside ongoing electrical works, ensuring a seamless and efficient project delivery.
