Case Study:
Toner Avenue
Primary School

Location: Hebburn, Tyne & Wear | Institution: Primary School | Student Number: 410
Installation Date: Sept 2020
PROJECT SCOPE
The school were moving into a new building and wanted a new library to be a welcoming space that encouraged children to stop by and read for pleasure.
How we delivered
The space was given a focal point Story Wall with display shelving, as well as a hideaway seat with tree cutaway and vinyl graphic, to help spark curiosity and offer a cosy space for exploring books.
The space was then divided with lots of different shelving to creating plenty of practical storage as well as reading nooks and a browsing pathway from the Story Wall.

“ We wanted the space to be welcoming and cosy with nooks and crannies for the children to curl up and enjoy the books. The designers delivered exactly what we were looking for; the shelving is ideal, and we have just the right mix of display areas and traditional shelves.
The additional furnishings really promote sitting down and reading and the library is in constant use. The greatest testament to the space is when we asked the children what their favourite part of the whole new school was, and the unequivocal answer was the library! ”
