Established in 1956, Warden Park is a co-educational secondary school located near Haywards Heath, West Sussex and is part of the Sussex Learning Trust. 

In collaboration with Jon Hickey, Chief Estates Development Officer at the Trust, we developed a design that seamlessly combines contemporary style with practical functionality. The new layout enhances storage solutions, reducing clutter and freeing up valuable workspace so students can focus on creativity. It was important to the school to maximise their storage for students portfolios, so we designed each art room to ensure every student has their own dedicated space to store their project work. 

We focused on maximising space with fitted storage and sink units designed to keep all art equipment safe, organised and clean. The integrated cupboards, drawers, shelving and tray storage maintain a tidy studio while ensuring that paper supplies, drying racks and materials are always within easy reach. Given the rooms’ practical nature, durability was a key priority. High-quality finishes, ergonomically designed Postura+ high back stools and robust H-Frame tables create a resilient, comfortable and inspiring environment for students to explore their creativity.
